Information practices

by Kulawik last modified 2005-09-04 23:01

An important issue of our network would be the question of how to regularly inform our members.

Questions regarding this issue could be:

  1. Should we install a newsletter?
    1. If so: should it be a regular e-mail or a printed edition?
      • Pros:
        • Information could be spread also to persons or institutions not connected regularly to the internet.
      • Cons:
        • Please keep in mind, that this would cause a lot of work and needs funding!
    2. Would you be interested in working on such a newsletter?
  2. Could it be sufficient to have only this web-site as central point of information instead of a newsletter?
    • Pros:
      • You would not have to collect the information from the newsletter on your personal computer.
      • The information - even old or out-dated - would be available through the internet as long as this site exists.
    • Cons:
      • Sometimes you may need the information - e.g. on your laptop - but may not have access to the internet.
  3. Should we try to start a journal comparable to the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians? Or do you think that would mean to split up the powers and challenge interested persons to check both journals instead of one?
  4. [etc.]
