Anlässlich des Jubiläums „10 Jahre Kiesler-Nachlass in Wien“ lädt die Kiesler Stiftung Wien zum Symposium MODELLING SPACE ein. Die Architekten, Künstler und Theoretiker: Ben van Berkel, Olafur Eliasson, Kurt W. Forster, Antje von Graevenitz und Hani Rashid  von Asymptote werden das komplexe Thema der „Raummodellierung“ in der aktuellen Kunst- und Architekturproduktion beleuchten. Friedrich Kieslers uminterventionen können als modellhafte Entsprechungen universaler Vorstellungswelten gelesen werden, die der Architekt und Künstler sowohl ins Plastische wie auch ins Architektonische überträgt. Kieslers Konzeptionen beruhen auf einem System der Grenzüberschreitungen und belegen eindrucksvoll die bis heute aktuelle Forderung nach der Entwicklung von innovativen und flexiblen Gestaltungsprinzipien für unsere Umwelt.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Kiesler Foundation
Vienna we invite you to the Symposium MODELLING SPACE at the Az W. The
architects, artists and theorists: Ben van Berkel, Olafur Eliasson, Kurt
W. Forster, Antje von Graevenitz and Hani Rashid/Asymptote will take a
stand on the topic of “modelling space”. In particular, there will be a
discussion  of the newest tendencies and developments in the realm of
architectural and artistic spatial interventions as well as an examination
of the  intentions of novel design practices and working processes in
architecture and art.
