Weblinks for architectural history

This section contains a provisional short list of websites that currently provide access to information about architectural history. They are divided into the following key categories (click on any category to find the related websites):

Organizations: This includes various institutions, societies, networks, etc. that operate in architectural history and cognate fields.

Research Centers and Institutes: A sub-set of the previous section covering those institutions that offer research resources and/or facilities of relevance to architectural historians.

Online Resources: A wide range of public-access resources such as web archives, digital collections, and databases covering various media – e.g., prints, drawings, photographs, etc.

Museums: Links to museums of particular relevance to architectural historians around the world.

Libraries: A selection of Online Public Access Catalogues (OPACs), including both specialist and generalist libraries.

Bibliographic Databases: A list of network catalogues and gateways allowing simultaneous access to multiple collections.

Journals: Links to current periodicals of particular interest to architectural historians (variable online contents).

Portals: Miscellaneous meta-data resources.

The EAHN editorial team is actively investigating ways to improve the use of online research resources for the architectural history community by making access faster and more efficient. A portal project is currently in development which would allow users to simultaneously search a large number of online resources. EAHN hopes to secure funding to build a portal prototype in the near future.

Please send suggestions for additional websites to office@eahn.org.
